	Clash of the Civilizations game Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Ok guys....Im thinking of starting a new game. I want to use the Apolyton real-world map.

Anyway heres how Im hoping it will work. We can decide on either..


It will either be,

a) 4 players in the new world, 4 players in old. The teams will have peace for first 20 turns. My PW mod will be used.

or,

b)Teams of 2 players, each team takes a continent. Example...Player 1 is Germany, Player 2 is Russia. They will both be in Europe... Or Eygpt in Zulu in africa.....Etc..again, teams will have peace for first 20 turns...

I think it could be very interesting, either toss. We would just have to find players and agree on how much PW...what age...and how much gold. What do you guys think?

Okay I am up for it, as long as start positions are fixed.... I would suggest 4 x 2 and I would be happy to take Russian Position - As Regards peace for 20 turns... It's a crazy guy that goes to war before that.

I say start in ancient, and make it bloodlust - 5 Settlers, 5000 gold, Emporer, ruins only, pollution on, NO goody huts, and no Barbarian Threat

Actually I dont know about two teams of 4. cause north america doesnt have as much land as asia, europe and africa. So I think 4 teams 2 works better and is the logical choice

So we need a

North America team
South America team
Europe team (Gavrushka so far)
and Asia or Africa team (there choice)

Yeh 4 teams of 2 is what I said too - better for team work.

I suggest everyone gets a copy of the start map so they can see the lay of the land......as it is a premade map? and some may have played on it before - Post a link on here to it yeh?

Hi Gav, Yes the map is a pretty good detail gigantic of earth. No need to show you.....it comes in apolyton pack on the 8 and 24 player mode.


Ok.....Me and Nuke boy have agreed to team up. we are currently discussing wether to be Native American/American in N.America or Africa...


Ok the Starting settings are shaping up. I will use my PW mod..

Starting,

5 Settlers in Historical Locations...
20,000 Public Works
15,000 Gold
5 Starting warriors.

Tech prefrences? You know.....we could start this in early renissance or somthing. I'de like middle anceint better tho

I don't think you will have many problems getting 8 players... give it a couple of days...... I will sort out a playing partner..

I would really really like to start in ancient.... Or with just a few techs granted..... But Identical techs yeh? Nothing Random......

Ok conditions lol we stay teams, no free for alls, do not trade tech with other teams. Ally with them that is it, maps etc to include in no goes. We can ally that is it nothing else. All maps and placement are done by a neutral non-involved player.
We start a new thread TRIBES and challenge other teams :evil grin:

This could be if we try the start of tribe play. We all have people we have allied with, some of the original players know each of us better than we do and some team up. If we do this right we could have continued great play by having an ally that can play our turn. A very fast game no need for moderator.

I will be in this if we can write into the rules we are teams as above, (tribes) and the game ends when one member of a tribe wins. We agree on the rules and post them in the game description.

If both tribe members survive why not a bonus. Look chances are two tribes will ally against two or one whatever. The idea should be that so why not an added point or so for both tribe members surviving?

As long as the tribes do not trade tech maps lol the chaos

I may type more in the forums with more intregue

Give your tribe a name and lets go at it I will challenge you all with two civilizations I am serious I have two email addresses Or a partner if some one has the time?

Let's have at it can we agree on rules Is one player with two civilizations allowed? If so lets start new games with multiple civlilizations too and why not?

I have no problems blackice about the tech trade......but let me get this straight...no map trades ? C'mon....ok well whatever. I take it you and Gav would be teammates? That means you must pick a Euro Civ, if he is Russia.

So we have North America team ( Nuke Boy, me)
Europe Team (Blackice, Gavrushka)
Other players: Nimrod.....(teamed with who? And is what Civ on what continent?)

I love the idea of tribes... we could have a new rating system for it..... It would be great to play with someone in PBEM games and work together..... could start a whole new series of games- What say you Faded?? Lets make this the first under a new ranking system?? Tribe score is the product of the tribe member scores added together..

So we got 5 players now - Nimrod, Blackice, Nuke, Faded and me... I think more will join - don't limit this thread to 8 players, lets get more than one game going...... I will be happy to moderate a second game.

Maybe in the next game I could be ranked again, now I had only 2: Civil War at turn 10 that I think it's not rated and Fixed game at 138 were I'm replacing Mr Quinns but I'm not rated there 'cos I take the civ when he was wining.

Maybe when the next Zobo's killer game start I could be rated again, thanks anyway.

I might be interested. Who have joined until now?

I think the teams could be something like Europe (capitols placed like Amsterdam and Moskva), America (NewYork/Caracas), Africa/Middleeast (CapeTown/Cairo) and Asia/India/Australia (Dhaka and Vladivostock).

If we are able to place the capitols like this, all should have a fair chance to steal some of the other nations "natural homelands". Making background for some good wars.

And if the map could be changed with a little more mountains/hills in URAL, Greenland (making that big island more attactive for the Europe player) and Central highland of Southafrica, then it would be nice.

So far we have BerXpert, Faded, Nukeboy, Blackice, Gavrushka, Gavrushka (always worthy of mentioning twice), Nimrod.... The only partnershio cast in Stone is Nuke and Faded, However Blackice and I may team as a permanent tribe - I think the idea is that when we team up, we stay as those teams through various games, and get a new ranking league going..

There is only one problem with putting me and Ice in the same team... WE ARE THE GREATEST and you will all be beat before you build your first City....

Ya I was planning on better representing a few things like the Appalchian mountains and Urals. Also would of added a few silly islands the orignal creater strangely left out.

Faded, Nuke boy: North American Team


Nimrod and BerXpert Should be teammed up. Both are great players. Now BerX...you need to decide wether to pick a nation/continent. (asia, africa or S.America)


Gavrushka, Birdman/Blackice? That needs to be decided. But you will have to pick who and what nation.

DeVil you will need a team8 buddy

Ya....I think we should seperate Blackice and Gavrushka. Gav sent a turn from a game in which he had 160,000 production...and I know what Blackice is capable of. So we should seperate the two

Ok heres how it will play.

Each nation will start with 5 cities in Historical locations. Each city will include a Granary and phalanx. Plus 2 warrior explorers.

Sure, BerXpert, it would be very pleasant for me to play with you . I don't concider myself as a very good CTP player, and I don't aspire to beat such CTP Gods as Blackice or Gav , but playing with you would be great! Somehow I feel that South America would be nice, don't you think?

DeVil, I think me and Ice will take different team mates.... BUT I think it would be great to form permanent playing partners or 'Tribes' - Maybe the tribes should be 4 players each, and we can start a league for tribe results??

I think the only game we are in together is TNT, and yeh I am doing well, mainly because I took over a powerful civ, from fuzzball... PLUS I think when we attacked.... we very carefully orchestrated it between us to try and catch you with your pants down so to speak!
