Well, my travel plans are FINALIZED! Woohoo I'm coming!
Arriving at London-Gatwick at 8:45 am on Friday, departing Gatwick 11:00 am on Monday.
Overall, it's not gonna cost me too much money. Got a plane ticket, round trip, on American Airlines for only $330 after tax. Plus I'm staying in a 4-star hotel for the nights I need to (at least Sunday, possibly Saturday too) for $80 a night. That, plus food, and of course beer, and it's not gonna cost all that much.
DM, you oughta come if you have the money...lemme know I can pick up a ticket for you down here.

That shouldn't be a huge problem.
I have a hotel room in London, and you're welcome to catch the train back there with me whenever I go and spend the night if necessary.

Is personal experience the only way we get evidence about the quality of a service?
Likewise, I doubt we've used the NHS much, yet we can still have opinions on it, based on other's experiences of it. Your favourite political leader seems to have plenty of opinions about it..yet when was the last time he used it?
And additionally, I've used trains from Aber to Shrewsbury, and been to London more than once. And for me, I don't have some cushy railcard allowing me to travel for free everywhere, so I'm more sensitive to the quality of it.
(If I can find a way of being in Bristol, I will, but it means spending less than two hours there, or alternatively being in Cardiff between 4am and 8am on Saturday night/Sunday morning.)

cockney: it pays for the courses, food, plane fare and wherever they have us stay. I should have expected that since the american dollar is actually LESS in england than it is here.
david: you think i could? i'm seriously hard up for $ and am trying to also finalize my spring break plans.
