	New Patch Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

The old thread has gone since the move.
However I said I would update you when the Patch was available.
You may get it from here:-

Please only use the 1.00 to 1.02 patch and only the copy from the Strategy First site. Do not use the Paradox link as they havent had the file back from SF yet.

I don't get it, can't Patric just download the SF file and upload it to the Paradox server? Or is this one of those tricky official permission thingies?

Paradox now have the patch up on their site.

Shadowstrike:

The mechanics go like this:-

1. Paradox make the patch and get it tested
2. Once they are satisfied the Patch is sent to SF.
3. SF use Securerom copy protection on their CDs.
4. The patch must have routines added by SF so that it will check and work with their copy protected CDs.
5. Once the routine are added then the "doctored" patch is returned to Paradox.
6. SF put the patch on their site.
7. Paradox test that the patch works with a production copy.
8. Paradox put the patch on their site for download.

So you see - if Paradox put an "undoctored" patch up for download it wouldnt work with the SF CD

Just make sure that on your main screen, when you first get into the game that it says EU 1.02 Not EU v1.02, and everything will be ok.
