	Why won't it let me post a thread in the off-topic? Increase the size of your Attachments

I keep trying to post a thread but all I get is this sodding database error. What is up with it?

Are you finding this problem isolated to "Off-Topic" only (obviously, you have successfully posted in "Apolyton/Community"? Can you be more exact as to the nature of the database error? Is anyone else having this problem?

My posts won't go through on Civ 3 Creation, but then when I reloaded I noticed they appeared... double posted.

And then I tried posting in the OT and it wouldn't let me until I posted that ME thread.

I can't seem to start a thread in the OT either. Posting replies works fine.

this message appears:

The Technical Staff must have had quite some E-Mails, because I tried about a dozen times.
It seems I can start a thread in this forum (I did not submit it, just tried if it would work).

To say that the Off-Topic forum is dying is an extreme assertion -- it is simply a random technical difficulty that is affecting only apart of the operation of the forum (i.e. posting new topics and not responding to existing threads).

As Markos suggested, try reloading the forum several times if you are having difficulties in posting a thread in it.

Don't you like the people posting in your forums, Dan? Besides, you always sound like a company worker trying to console customers, while Markos doesn't make that impression.

Of course I like people posting in Apolyton's forums and contributing to discussions on a number of issues. If I didn't, why would I be engaging in the discussion in the first place? Besides, if I did feel this way and the feeling was mutual this discussion would have never happened in the first place. My writing style is something that I have been working on for a number of years and predates my involvement with Apolyton or even the online community itself in general. I do not consider anyone who visits this site to be a "customer" -- you are a guest and I am your host. Just because I write in a more 'formal' fashion does not mean that I am "suit".

While I was aware that you were at least in part commenting in jest, Paiktis, I responded in a matter so that those who may have taken it literally and/or agreed with that interpretation would have it addressed by a member of the site's executive administration.

I will admit that I carry a more serious -- for lack of a better term -- demeanour that Markos does; however, this is does not mean that I do not have as close as bond to the <I>Civilization</I> community as he does. We simply approach and address matters in a different fashion while at the same time producing equal or at least very similar results.

Now that I've got your attention... are you all caught up on your subscription payments or do I have to start handing out temporary forum account suspensions^?
