	Time Limit? Tired of ads?

Is there a time limit in SMAC/SMAX? Does the game just end at a certain year?

What? You actually wanted to know when the game ends?

The manual is wrong. It says game over at 2500 for Talent or lower levels, 2400 for Librarian or above. You actually get a century more for all levels.

You should be able to comfortably win before then, unless you try something silly like huge world, tech stag, win by conquest only.

And for that all you need to do is go into alpha.txt and change the ending year to something around 4000 or 5000
