Full PM-box? Change here!

Having lived here, I can tell you that FG is a moron.

The currency is "dollars", the $1 coin is called the Loonie, because there is a picture of a Loon on it (imagine that).

(Excuse me while the mental image of a typical American tourist entering a store and saying "This here is worth 30 loonies". )

I'm pretty sure he's thinking:

"Mr. Cheney said this guy was from some country somewhere, but now he's giving me money! He must be from an oil company then. I wonder which one? Think, W, think. Hmmm, it's a coin; must be Enron. See, I'm not such an imbelsi...imblici...moron."

Pecunia non olet.

Maybe the ATM's would give out more banknotes by accident because of the stickyness.

"Pecunia non olet."

In this case, it could stink and stick.

Although, as the notes are mostly cotton, you should be able to wash them. I think I'll try it with a 5er....

Looky here! Just checked my wallet and I have a Letzebuerg 2 euro coin! National design looks very much like ours, so I didn't notice until now. Better spend it fast before shopkeepers refuse it.

That reminds me of a traumatic childhood experience. I'd saved for weeks and weeks for a box of toy soldiers, and gleefully arrived at the toy shop with a bag full of small change that added up to exactly 2 pounds 99.

The assistant counted it all out (which took a good ten minutes), and was just about to give me the box of soldiers, when she noticed one of the 5p coins was from the Channel Islands. She had to fetch the manager to ask whether she could accept it, and the manager said no, she couldn't. So, having only 2.94 of legal tender, I had to put all my change back in the bag and go home, without my toys.

FOR GOD'S SAKE, HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO A CHILD???
