More than 7 factions at a time? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I've only just started playing SMAX (was fortunate enough to find a Planetary Pack CD in a private sale) and I've noticed that the option screen at the start allows me to choose my own faction and up to six other rivals.

Is there no way to have a 14-way rumble between ALL of the factions?
