1. Your "kickass" forum is currently giving out "404" errors, which isnt so kickass.

2. When I dropped by at an earlier date there were a total of around 50 posts there, which is what these boards get in a few hours. No wonder that you dont have people *****ing and ranting there when there are only 50 posts made by the same 10 people.

Now please stop your lying or I shall be forced to sign your email address up with the first 100 spam sites I happen on

Leaving aside his general spammy nature, he has got a point about the loads of negative posts on this board. I've got no issues with people posting negative stuff - everyone should feel free to speak their minds. It's just disappointing that so many people have negative things to say.

Starting a thread (A SINGLE THREAD) about other forums is not against the rules. Many people even include links in their signature as an on going message. The more Civ sites... the better. It can only strengthen the Civ Community.

Uh, no. But so what? My point was there seem to be a lot of people with negative things to say ABOUT THE GAME. And that is disappointing because before the game came out I was hoping that the obviously over-inflated expectations on this board wouldn't lead to a backlash. Firaxis, being a collection of humans, could not help but be unable to achieve perfection and, lo and behold, they didn't create a perfect game. However, it was still possible that the love of playing games like Civ that drew people to this board in the first place would overcome the potential for negativity and lead to a board full of commentary on strategy, humourous bits of gameplay, pleas for help from newbies and all the other things gameboards are usually full of. And that hasn't happened. Thus my expression of disappointment. Maybe it is Firaxis' fault, maybe not. I'm still disappointed.

As for whether your negativity is bigger than my negativity ... I'll leave that alone as I'm not really sure what your point is and I suspect it may be too Freudian for public consumption.

(Please don't take this as an invitation to debate exactly how far from perfection Firaxis ended up. That debate has been flogged to death. Besides, Yin26 might get upset if he thought someone else was beating his drum. )

Stop complaining!!! I Have about 5 forums I go to for civ3!! This one Is really cool but peeps are always complaining about stuff. So I'm just telling peeps about another forum, that's all. So I dont give a freaking S*it what all you babies are fussing about! If you read my messg0e right, it says:" Hope to see you there!" So if you're not interrested, dont go, forget it, but stop it with the b*tching posts again, and again, and again. Error 404........hmmmmmmmmmm...........refresh your browser or earase your temp files for the internet, maybe itèll work. Or maybe your on a lan server, then there are multiple possibilities. But it works for me... Oh well.......anyways better luck next time!

I believe we have allowed lots of room for you to present your site. Any further threads created in the civ3 forums will be deleted. If you want to promote your site, you can
a) list it in your profile
b) add the url in your signature
c) make announcements regarding it in the Apolyton/Community forum
