Unit Graphic Movement Speed Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

There're all sorts of settings for unit graphic movement speed but none of them seem to do what I want. Basically, I want all my units to zip across the screen but I want to be able to see the AI player's units moving around so I can notice them.

you fast, them slow Support Apolyton

BASIC PREFERENCES:
Move enemy/neutral pieces quickly. = OFF
Move allied pieces quickly. = ON

ADVANCED PREFERENCES:
Fast battle resolution. = OFF
Move units with orders quickly. = ON
Move all units quickly. = OFF

This doesn't work for me. If I set "Move All Units Quickly" to OFF then my units will still move slowly even if "Move Allied Pieces Quickly" is ON.
