	Military Unit Questions Suffering from ads?

I can upgrade warriors to swordsman or horseman to knights, though I have Barricks (though Sun Tzu's Wonder) and horses and iron available. However, it will let me upgrade spearman to pikeman. I can make swordsman (Legionary actually since I am Roman) and knights. What am I missing?

Also, when can you draft ppl?

Thanks for any insight anyone can give?

Im assuming that the top sentence is supposed to read "I can not upgrade..."

Make sure the unit to be upgraded is in a city.
That city must have both iron and horses if it is to upgrade horsemen to knights. Obviously you need the tech to be able to build knights first.

Seeing as you are Romans, you will have problems upgrading anything to swordsmen, as you cant build them
The game won't let you upgrade to special units unless they are defencives.

For drafting, you need Nationalism.

Oops.. yes, Cannot upgrade those But I do have all the neccesary items.. iron, horses and the tech.. is so odd..

I figured it out. It was a money thing. Whew, those upgrades are expensive. It was 80 gold to upgrade a horse to a knight and run my gold pretty small at the start.
