	MoO1 Comparison game Get a bigger avatar today!

The object: several people play independently starting from the same position, and compare results. This is not a competition, but an opportunity to compare and contrast different strategies and styles of play.

Rules: download and unzip the attached file. Load the game, hold down the Alt key and type "events" (without the quotes). You should see "No Events" in the upper left corner. Remember to disable events each time you load if you play over multiple sessions: the timer keeps counting while events are disabled, and an event will probably trigger after your first turn if you forget to disable them.

Record the year you discovered each tech and where it came from (found in ruins on planet, artifact planet, orion, stolen, traded, or discovered the old-fashioned way). Record the date of establishment/capture of each colony. Save the game every 50 years (every other galactic council).

No save/reload cheating; no use of other Alt key cheats. Other exploits are open for discussion.

The attached file is a small universe, hard game, playing as the Klackons.

To save on typing, here is a text file with a list of the technologies (taken from the MoO FAQ). Suggestion: open this file in your favorite text editor, then use alt-tab to jump back and forth from the game to the log file.

Note: the game year is accessible on the Races/Status page (something I always forget when I haven't played the game in a while).
