Here is the poll for the inital city placement!

The offical recomendation of the expansion department is to settle immediatly!

without a shield in the starting spot we need to look for another placement

but neither south not north looks promising,
there are forests and hill in the north
and plains south,

not inland, without any river close, it would be really slow to colonized the land
I like to have the first city in the coast also,

Don't forget - a city has a minimum of 1 shield on its tile. Thus, that grassland with no shield will have one after we build our capitol.

The capitol is Apolyton. The second city may be Sodaq, Paha Sapa, or some such name...
