Seems that many Americans (and Canadians?) don't like it for some reason while other ppl from for ex. Europe (where ppl are a little more read-up and up to par than Americans) like it.

Americans seem to prefer "name that song uh-oh" and other silly weird stuff.. The A-team and cartoons and what not. I guess this is their intellectual stimulus.

Dr Strangelove was on a paper list I had. Anyways as I wrote before I would spend months just writing down all the names. Do you know how many members Apolyton has? Thousands. And the polls in here don't allow for more than 16.

No, Lars, the problem is you don't know most of the people on the site. There's glaring omissions from your list, and there's no real criteria established other than general intelligence. And even then, I have to wonder how you rated some of the people based on intelligence. Some people on your list there are certainly very knowledgeable, but I wouldn't label them as being in the upper echelon of intelligent Apolytoner's.

Are you trying to measure knowledge, crystallized intelligence, or fluid intelligence?
Further, some people are intelligent analytically, some are intelligent creatively, and some practically. Do you distinguish between those? How about savants?

This is a glorified popularity contest, or at the very best a test to see how "well-read" posters are.

Yes, I've taken an IQ-test (WAIS-III).
And no, I'm not going to tell you what I got, because people always (or most of the time) bullshit what their results were anyway, if they took them at all. I also disagree with how the modern Wechsler tests are run anyway.

Because as much as you go on and on about intellgence and knowing "facts", you seem to be lacking in understanding irony.
