TRADE - resources Tired of ads?

Hello ,

should cattle and wheat become a "trade" resource like in Civ2 ,
including to other civ's and should you not be able to select the city it goes to ?

Example in real life , the UsA sell's to RussiA

have a nice day/night

Frankly, any empire with surplus food on one end that couldn't send it to the less capable growing regions -- Such as Rome or Egypt would not grow to Empire status. I haven't found where this has been addressed, but it needs to be.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Food is bulky and fragile. Transporting it across an empire should require an advanced transportation network.

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Yes, but Rome, the largest Empire for many centuries, handled it beautifully. The Meditteranean was it's secret. Rome had massive 'super-tanker' food transports that were the largest vessels on earth until the trans-atlantic steamers of the 19th century. Imagine thousands of these ships entering and leaving the harbors each day.
