Resource depletion Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Can resources be depleted? I have played quite a few games but never noticed this, but in my last game my saltpeter findings simply disappeared from the map. I couldn't find anything about this in the manual...

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Yes, they can be depleted. It happens at varying rates for different resources.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Yes the get depleted the more you use that resource. Say for example you create swordsmen wich need iron. If you keep making swordsmen the iron will deplete eventually.

They will appear eventually elsewhere on the map in some random location later.

Hope that helps.

Put an end to popups!

No, that's not how it works. It goes like this. Every ressource has a chance of disappearing, some more than others. It doesn't matter of many units you make with the specified ressource, it's all gambling. For example, in the editor coal has, I think, 1 chance in a 100 to disappear every turn but iron it's 1 in 200. You can change these settings in the editor under "ressources" in the Edit rules section.

By default, except for hourses and rubber and all luxuries, all resources can be depleated.

You may want to check the editor for the exact values that this happens.

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Thanks for the answers!

Not a difficult question really, but this is the first time I've noticed it. So either I've been EXTREMELY lucky or it has slipped by unnoticed because I've had several resources of the same kind.
