	Pet Hates - What are yours? Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

I have two that come to mind, and both are pedestrian behaviours on city streets.

1)
People who walk incredibly s l o w l y in front of me and are hard to get past. How little must these people value their time?

2)
People who are too cool to watch oncoming traffic when they are strolling across the road. You have to point your head somewhere, why not check out those oncoming cars?

This is tough when I am riding my bike and pedalling to keep pace with the cars and I have to swerve into traffic to dodge one of the above, but then I can't see the cars coming behind me so I have to hit the brakes. Once a guy was making it so hard when I was engrossed in my riding and I just found myself shouting "Move!" and he jumped so high I could almost ride underneath him. Must admit I enjoyed that, especially as I am usually such a wimp.

hmmmmmmmm. i have lots of pet peeves but.... i'd have the say the biggest one is when ........hmmmmmmm........ well.......... lets see......... oh yeah when ppl are indecisive.....lol

i always take my time...... may just be the way i was raised or where/ the environment i grew up in..... but i'm hardly ever in a hurry!!!! i dont understand why so many ppl rush around....... they spend so much time trying to hurry that they never got to enjoy anything??? just an observation

in the supermarket, where one person coming down the aisle sees someone coming from the opposite direction down the same aisle, and they stop adjacent each other to gab incessantly, thereby blocking and congesting trafic in both directions. Happens at least once everytime I go to the local store! Typically I have 3 kids in my cart, which is a time bomb just waiting to go off, and I don't have time for the local gossipers to catch up on the nuances of why so-and-so painted their house a different shade of white (taken from an actual conversation I had to endure!). I put my head down, warn the kids to hold on, and gather speed with the shopping cart: its ramming time!!!!

My mothers cooking - yeah, it's good and all that, but she can't time it right and one part of the meal will usually get cold while the other finishes cooking, or she'll be yapping on the phone and let it burn. Then she cooks too much, and I end up eating leftovers for lunch just about everyday of the week.



Oh, and on a another (somehwat related) note, I hate cell phones, or phones in general.

Mine would have to be straight guys who have to push their sexual orientation in public places by holding their girlfriend's or wife's hand. Or by talking about their girlfriend or wife.

2) people going slow in the fast lane
3) people passing me on the right.
4) people not using their turn signals
5) "enhanced" cd's.
6) when people are talking when i'm trying to watch a movie
7) when people talk to me when i'm trying to do something (ie. internet, read, playing video games, etc)
8) emails that contain the line "send this email to X number of people for good luck) or any variation of the same
9) people who just constantly send you instant messages online, even though you make it QUITE apparent that they are the most boring thing to ever happen to you.
10) ex-girlfriends that say they just want to be friends, and then act like the total *****es they are and are NEVER friends with you at all.
11) people that always ask to borrow a cigarette, quarter, dollar, pen, pencil, whatever, but never pay you back, and never have said items when YOU need to borrow one.
12) people being late for a planned meeting time.
13) people that crash your party and drink all your alcohol and then leave.
14) people that get WAY more drunk than they should and then make you take care of them.
15) people that start fights while drunk. said people should not be getting drunk at ALL, imo. if you can't keep your temper down while drinking, then don't drink.
16) people whining about things that can't be helped.
17) hell, people whining about anything at all. offer constructive, well thought out advice in the form of a discussion, or keep your damn mouth shut.
18) when ATM machines miss-report the amount of cash i have available, causing me to spend more than i have and bounce a check. (only happened once, and i learned my lesson, but DAMN i was pissed)

But that's not the worst thing - I can predict what will happen in most Hollywood films I haven't seen and do not hesitate to reveal the ending to everyone else watching it

Thought process of a us slow walkers when walking almong a city street: Aaah. What a lovely day. The sun is shining. Spring is literally in the air, I can smell it from that park over there. 1) People who don't meet you at the time they said they would

2) Lack of spatial awareness - e.g. people turning around and starting to walk without making sure they aren't going into someone's path, or walking out of shops straight into a stream of people. Or dawdling along slap bang in the middle of the pavement so you have to walk in the road to get past them.

3) Failure to use indicators when driving

4) Aggressive drunks

5) People who whinge about having to get up in the morning. Go to bed earlier you damn fool.

Am I the only one seeing a problem here?

My pet peeve is simple minded people refusing to accept that a problem might need more than two seconds of thought to be resolved.

I'm partially guilty of this myself, but that doesn't make it any less anoying.

It is very bad when prominent and popular politicians do it.
