Modswapper 1.12 is working fine on my Win XP Home desktop. I can launch the Original, 'Poly, MedMod2, and Cradle. I hadn't gotten around to installing mods on my Win98 laptop, but now I'm having troubles.
I installed "the lot" but when I launched Modswapper, the only option given was "Original Game." So...
I uninstalled CTP2, and deleted the residual files and subdirectories beneath the CTP2 directory. I reinstalled CTP2. I installed the patch. I installed Modswapper. I installed the Apolyton Pack(unzipped into the CTP2 directory). Launched Modswapper. "Original Game" is the only option.
What am I doing wrong?

Ed,
I have no idea what might be causing this problem,
Edit: if the APOL_gamefile.txt file is located in the main CtP2 folder, you extracted the zip while having the option 'extract to subdirectory' (or whatever it's called in the unzip program you're using) unchecked, this should be checked of course. |
AHA! Yes, you *do* have an idea. The instructions say "unzip to the Call To Power 2 directory" and don't say "be sure the 'use folder names' box is checked." I remember seeing the APOL_ files in the main folder. Right now I'm on my WinXP machine, and by coincidence that box *is* checked here, which is why Modswapper worked fine here.
Thanks!
p.s. Have pity on the poor wombat; I'm not awake either.
