PBEM Rules v2.0 are not available right now. They will be in few days.
Download the PBEM Mod Lite and read carefully on the readme.txt for installation instructions and features.

It should be as long as Mac supports txt format.
I haven't tested it in Mac yet but you could give it a try in single-player mode and tell me if it works.

I'll happily test it! Should I drop it into the scenario directory, or what? I'll try some different things out tonight when I get off of work.

1. Skill level: I'm up for a challenge, so it's up to everybody else... let's just go with the level higher than what anybody has beat the game with.
2. Barbarian Threat: Mid or high... I like the annoying little jerks.
3. Map Size: medium or huge... though if we go huge there's the possibility I won't be able to opent he games later on.
4. Civilization: Native American
5. Leader Name: Flame Flash Riser (okay, so it's stereotypical against Native Americans... but I still like it.)
6. Gender: Male
7. World Shape: Earth-like... donut makes me drool over the screen...
8. Bloodlust: sure? Or do we just want to aim for the stars with this game? It depends on how long everybody is planning on sticking with this.
9. Pollution: On... the game gives us plenty of ways around polluting if we're just patient about not... unless of course you all want to run off to your happy little space cities

And as my first full game to play, I'm fine with being rated.

... BUT don't worry if it don't work, only first player has to have mod installed I think.. So you just don't take first turn

Yes, you simply unzip it in the scenario directory but make sure that you retain the directory structure of the zip.
I beleive the installation instructions are in the readme.txt.

There was an issue in a game so I am not sure if everyone has to have the mod installed. Maybe you could give it a try, me you and Ice to see if it works with no mod installed but the first player.

ok i'm in. this is the 3rd time trying to post some thing keeps knocking me out . hope this is the one that works. as i tried saying before i'm basicly computer illitirate point and click is about my speed. i may need to be walked through how to send turn as i have no clue how to send atachments to an e-mail. also pbem mod lite keeps comming up page not found or not avalibe any suggestions???????????

2) i play rageing hords but any is fine
3) map size reg but any is fine (thats what i play)

Thanks Keygen, I'll try those things regarding the MOD and get back to you... I've emailed it home, so when I get there I'll try installing it and starting a game... heck, since I just beat SMAX again maybe I'll just start up a game and run it... I always like to have one running... in fact, that may be the problem with my loading another one of the games if it started with the MOD...

So, how does it work, someone emails me the gamefile and I load it as a saved game, play, save and send?

Wht about tricks and cheats, eg the granary/settler rushbuy? All straight play is my preference... Just so long as we're all playing by the same rules.

I was just reading in the "Apolyton CtP League" thread about having a permanent sub, which seems like a good idea. How does that work, the sub is emailed the turn as well, and if a player doesn't take their turn within 24 hours the sub may take it? Or what?

And what's all this talk about settler/granary rushbuy? I don't even know how to do it, so I certainly don't think it'd be fair for others to... Not fond of "taking advantage of the bugs"

I only hope that you will be able to open a turn comming from a PC player since I heard you had some problems.

Each player assigns a permanent sub per game. His/her perma sub can be the same person in more than one game, even all of his/her games as long as the perticular player doesn't play in those games.

So if you leave for vacation or can't play for a reason for more than one turn in the row the moderator or previous player automatically sends turns to your perma sub until you resume playing.

The granary/settler cheat is banned from our community as well any other bug that is used without the knowledge and agreement of all participants.

Yep! The only game I haven't been able to load so far is the Eagles at War turn that was around 600+K :... I think it has something to do with the size ... there were loading problems with that game prior to my entering it though , and I have the Ctp Mac Transmogrifier (it converts game saves to Mac format so I can open it ) so just as long as the game file hasn't been slightly corrupted (like Eagles at War) we'll be fine... and starting a game rather than jumping in will help in that.

Very good to know that bug is frowned on... looks like we newbies don't even know how to access it anyway, so there won't be a problem.
