Poll idea: How much do you play multiplay? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I just started to wonder that how much/many of Civ/SMAC/CTP people play multiplayer mode? (LAN, Modem, PBEM, Hot seat, etc.) I don't play multiplayer mode (Tried once on CivNet) and remember one of Sid's interviews were he says how important single play is in his mind. So now I am interested in the named topic. (Are Evil Capitalist and I the last Dinosaurs who only play single play mode anymore? )

I glanced in Related Threads and found only one thread (Multiplay only Civ3) on the matter.

I also locked under CivIII section of apolyton and there hasn't been any query about how much people use multiplayer mode.

So Yin26, MarkG and DanQ:
I suggest that next Poll would be on the topic of how much people use multiplayer mode.
This could be for example multiplayer mode vs. single play in percent:
Only multiplay (100%)
Most of the time (75%)
5050 (50%)
Sometimes(25%)
I have tried it (5%)
WHAT?? (0%)

Or then just how much time you spend on multiplay
Everyday
More than 5h/week
About 1h/week
About 1h/month
I have tried it
WHAT???

Third possibility is that you can arrange of course two polls from this suggestion

If there has been somewhere a poll about this earlier, I apologize the trouble caused and would like to see a link to it.

Thank you for your atention and have a happy new year

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Little more on the topic:
- And to clarify my opinion. CivIII shall have multiplayer option of course, I vote for it anytime anywere. I am just curios to know how much people actually use it.
- The current CivII vote on MP duration is not quite what I'm thinking of. (It is close, but not quite what I'm thinking of)

Got spare money?

I have played a few SMAC multiplayer games and one or two Civ2MPG. But my main problem has been there has never been enough time to finish a multiplayer game. We always end up just saying who we think was going to win won.

In Civ III there better be a way to save that allows all the same players to come back and play at the same point. At a later date. Also, if the game is built on one player goes than another then there should be email games. I used to play those a lot with early strategy games.
