	I have a question. Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I have Civ2 gold edition for Mac. I use to have a mac, but it broke down after having for many years. (I like mac a lot) I now have a pc and could not find the pc version of civ2 gold edtion any where, so I was wondering is there any way to get Civ2 for mac to run on a pc? If yes or if you know how do I do it? Thanks for the help in advance.

If you are wondering why I want to do this, I have Civ3 and like it alot, but I want to play civ game with other humans and I want to play scenarios, two things you cant do with Civ3 right now.

From what I know, it appears you're out of luck with getting Mac Civ2 Gold to run on a PC. (Sorry to hear about the death of your Mac...)

But I'm pretty sure there are multiple sources for the PC version of Civ2 MGE at pretty cheap prices. I advise you post a query in either the Civ2 General forum or perhaps the Apolyton Community forum.

Then hang out in the Civ2 MP forum once you're set up. Hope to see you there!

-Jrabbit do you know were you can get Civ2 gold edtion for a pc, because I looked and could not find it anywere. Even if I could run the Civ gold edition for mac on my pc I would perfer to have the pc version to run on the pc. I was able to find Civ2 gold edtion for mac though. If you want to know why I got a new pc instead of getting a new mac it is because a lot of software out there only runs on a pc, and it takes a really long time before they release a game for mac, and sometime they dont even do it because it has not sold that many units. But I think macs are better then pc.

I don't think any of those are the Gold edition, though. I'll look around a bit more and see if I can find a copy somewhere by the end of the week for you.

I actually found copies up for bid on ebay, but i wanted to see if I could get at a store, and that is what i meant, is there civ2 gold edtion you could buy at the store?

There are buggy Mac emulators out there for PCs... you might be able to find one of those on the net somewhere to use and play your CivII... it shouldn't be that slow since it's an old game... I know when I emulate Test of Time it works fine.

i've only seen the 2.42 version in stores (a couple of months ago CompUsa, Walmart). i've heard that ToT can be patched and used to play MGE. try posting in the civ2 - general forum and MP forums (if you haven't already)

The last time I saw MGE in store it was in a combiantion pack with two other games, Worms2 and Mech Warior 2.

I was able to find a Mac emulator, the only thing is that is does not run power pc applications, thus I cant run Civ II Gold Edtion on it. Does any of you guys know of a power pc emulator that is out that?

CivII Gold MPE is a PowerPC version? Could have fooled me! I have no idea where a PowePC emulator might be... so I'll just have to wish you luck in finding one.
