	corrupted display prior to video and after fix!! Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

G-day,
I got irked with my system and realized I wasn't the only one with this problem ( easing my feelings only slightly) anyhoose arter going through a few forums i think i have a universally easy way to fix this problem.
First make sure the monitor under control panel/display/settings /advanced/monitor is not saying default and or plug and play. You may want to look into properties/driver and provider to make sure it is not microsoft.
If it is you have to change it to a compatable driverfor your monitor. www.driverguide.com is a good place for drivers. The alternative is to find a compatable driver from the win XX cd or use powerstrip to create a new diver that us usable for your monitor ensure you do not use refresh rates that you have not tested.
There is a regsty hack but I advise against it. The hack is located under {HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\
nv\Device0} This is for nvidia cards only it appears to corespond to the driver name. find the settings corresponding to your card and delete the higher unsupported rates.
