Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I like playing on various map settings. If playing for score, Pangaea/Warm/Wet/5 Billion maps are the best. I find Archipelago/3 Billion maps to be the most enjoyable though.

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Mostly I play either continents/normal or pangea/arid. Since this is a multiple choice poll, I voted for them all.

Continents/Normal. I think that Pangea is rather cheap - conquest is too easy when there's no need for naval power/transport. You just move in your units, rinse, repeat.

Earth maps don't do it for me either. Part of the "fun" such as it is, is the exploration. The "oh, hey, I'm in Europe" moment that occurs in about 3800 BC or so kind of ruins that.

I'd play the bigger maps with 16 civs, if the lag wasn't so ridiculous. Of course, I'm so impatient it's rather pathetic.

Tired of ads?

Arid for me, more oil. Oil is good. Oil is the black blood of the earth.

Sorry, I'm getting a little carried away there (like always).

Damn, I always find myself in australia. By the time I contact another civ, two or three civs have bit the dust.
