I haven't seen scientific reporting this bad since third grade.

Half of it is just a rant against statistical methods. The rest is either deliberately misleading or consists of baseless accusations.

Wiggy, here's some addresses for you to write to and complain about the lack of dead Australians:

Senator the Hon. Robert Hill
Minister for Defence

A U S T R A L I A

Admiral Chris Barrie
Commander of the Australian Defence Force
Phone:
+61 2 626 52976
Facsimile: +61 2 626 51228

You can email the Prime Minister by filling in a form at the following link:

Who gives a royal rat's ass if your feeble mind has to have FOX in order to to function up to par of a turnip?

Let's cut to the chase.
This is a United States led effort.
The Aussies, Brits, Greeks, et al are supporting us in the manner we ask.
The Aussies risked life and limb in the rescue, and for you to mouth off about ONLY 1 casualty shows just what a pathetic moron you truly are.
In case it's escaped you, the object is to lose none; or at the very least to lose as few as possible.
Enlist, Wiglaf. Show us all how it's done.

It's quite obvious then, and indeed common sense, that if America is losing eight or nine troops in Anaconda, and Australia hasn't lost any, that maybe just maybe one country's in the line of fire just a bit more than the other.

Slow, you don't have to die to be a good soldier by default. But in Afghanistan, when I watch all the troops running dangerous night raids die and turn out to be American and not Australian or Canadian or British or whatever, it gets sick fast. Really fast.

You've got to wonder: Either our allies are completely untouchable on the battlefield, or they aren't doing ****, at least compared to America. Take your pick.

Those 8 or 9 died in helicopter accidents not in the actual conflict, wiggy. They died of injuries sustained on the tough landing because of a missile...

And wiglaf, you give the right-wing a bad name... would you just do everybody a favor and shut-up.

I think the US and Afghans are the only ones fighting this, with the Europeans and Australians helping with supplies and stuff, and keeping the peace while the fighting occurs between the Taliban and the US/Afghan force.

The Australians are fighing - there's over 100 combat troops involved in 'Operation Anaconda'.

Maybe there are more American troops in the area.

Maybe the Aussies are more skilled than their US counterparts.

Or maybe the American troops were just unlucky.

Your arguments are stupid Wiglaf. Just because the Aussies haven't lost any soldiers doesn't mean that they aren't helping. The Australians are doing what they can and I for one am grateful for what they are doing. Every American should be grateful to the Australians who helped rescue our soldiers.

I also commend Australian troops that saved the American soliders. I mean more Americans are fighting this battle, and that means the Americans will be at greater odds getting casualities than the Australians. But the Aussies have done a tremendous job at helping the US IMO.

They might be helping, but you certainly can't claim they're on the front lines with us if they haven't lost a damn troop in Anaconda and we've lost ten. It's common sense...
