we do it like this: 18.5+ year old: choose 18/19

Hey relax, I don't think that is the point. There are an alarming number of youths who do lose their virginity at such an early age, a fact of modern society. My real age of losing viriginity is quite older without counting certain special play. I've lost technically my virginity between 14 and 15. But still I was aware about such thing for 11/12. At this age we enter at the college shool, with older student (until 16 year old) and we learn many things and lose a lof of ... 'fairy tales' about baby creations.

What I mean, when the 'first time' came I was a proud guy sure of himself before taking my clothes of, but after I was shy and feel as I was knowing nothing about girls.

Seriously, as a parent, I will not encourage my childrens to have sex too young as it is not always a good experience. But I will not prevent it drastically neither.

I kind of resent the modern popular usuage of the term 'virgin' when applied to the sexual status of a male. To me 'virgin' is a feminine description, and is more apt to conjure up images of chaste maidens rather than sexually frustrated men.

It's a quite old picture that you paint us. The difference of men of virginity question is that women are physically marked by lost of virginity. Women can get pregnant by sexual relation. They are phycally marked by men during a sexual relation. The men aren't not marked by such way. For them lose of virginity is just crossing an invisible border from childhood to adult age.

It's why virginity have more meanings for women than for men.
