I do have a question about the election process. Who operates it? Is there a definate time/deadline for candidacies to be declared? How is the polling done? Can a person run for, or be elected to, more than one position?

I would suggest a definate deadline and a limitation of one elected position sought per person for a given month.

Election polls get set up on the 25th of every month. That's tomorrow, iirc. Who sets up the polls? Whoever gets around to it, I suppose. Show your zeal by opening the poll for the post you seek to win! Election polls should be open for at least 48 hours, so that everybody has time to visit and vote.

If this is the case we just need a Imperial Expansion advisor and a vice... and there is only going to be voted between adamsj and Hydey for foreign advisor.
(personally I find this tread pretty confussing ppl nominating and unnominating )

==> voting should start 27 and go on for 3 days so new cabinet can start april first.
(maybe a new tread should be openend so ppl can place the "official 'selfelection' " to get things clearer...and get some ppl for the remaining posts...saying there are ppl who would like voting like the american system every week 1 or 2 posts...I see hell...)

I hereby nominate MBloomIII as Vice President. As the current President, MBloomIII would make the best backup for the President-to-be, Shade, in the event of an emergency. This would be in addition to his declared candidacy for Science Advisor.

Once again I strongly suggest that the Vice president be someone of the President's trust, and therefore should be appointed by the president, and not elected! Blah, blah, blah, I've said this over five times, now!

Shaka, I don't believe it's fair to run for more than one position. So in case you don't win an election, IMO, you should only enter in the cabinet by the president's choice to be the vice.
