Help (diplomatic Victory) Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

i've captured the city with Unated Nations, but at at the end of turn the was no election! why? can i achive diplomatic victory if i own UN, but not in my native city?

I think you'll have to wait a few turns in order to have an election, since you didn't build it. I'm not really sure, since I havn't taken over a city with a UN in it, I might have though, since I raze every city I attack.

I believe it's about 10 turns/election. Maybe you have to abide to (survive through) that duration.
