cant get CIV III to run under XP PRO Inflate your Upload Space

i just ungraded to XP PRO and cant get CIV III to run. I have installed the latest CIV III patch.

Can anyone help me?

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Did you actually upgrade or did you install fresh? Also did you reinstall Civ3?

I had upgraded from ME on a new HD. Then installed CIV III and the 1.17f patch. Have tried the 98/ME compatibility mode and it wont work at all.... grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Increase Your PM Length

Hi. I have XP pro, and it took a bit of fiddling to get Civ3 towork. I only got it 2 days ago so it is still fresh. Don't do a compatibility test, this isn't the problem.

Reinstall Dirext X, install the latest patch, and download latest openGL drivers for your video card.

This worked for me, but ..........................

civIII & XP Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

i just got a hold of tech support for CIV III and all i had to do was open the civiii.ini file and add a line....to it...

they told me to add this at the end

REFRESH=60

so i did and saved it and it works fine now
