	Issue: the Vice Presidency Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

All right, we have Shade running uncontested for president. Our rules state that the second place finisher in the presidential election becomes the VP. With no second place finisher, it seems Zealot will finally get his way! Barring an 11th hour entry in the presidential race, it seems that Shade must appoint his VP.

People, either announce your last minute candidacy for president, support appointment, or state your own brilliant idea.

If you want to be veep, declare quickly! (Or PM Shade with a bribe of some sort...) To have an election complete before the first of april, the poll would have to open by tomorrow!

I think the Pres should appoint th Veep. It kinda makes more sense that way. However, I am "up for appointment" if Shade wants me as his VP.

personally I still think it isn't a great idea,but I'll apoint someone
31 March and send that person a PM.(I just hope he doesn't decline my offer)
but if next ellections there again are more then 1 person going for prez I think the 2e one in the race should become VP

You can always bribe me for other reasons too

Since the apparent sole purpose of a Vice President is to replace the President, I don't agree that it should be an appointive position. The VP does not assist the Prez in this structure, but only replaces the Prez if that person is hit by a truck (virtual or cyber).

In that case, the VP should not be either a lackey of the Prez or a loser of a Cabinet post election.

I suggest that, if no one runs for the position, then a vote should be held among the elected Cabinet Officers (on the theory that at least *someone* on the Cabinet ought to be recognizable as capable of acting as President in an emergency).
