Got banned from the Delphi forums once.

I was on the Maximum PC forum and it was not one of their moderators that banned me. They couldn't even tell that I had been banned. The only person that knew what happened was the guy I had been argueing with. He apparently told a fairy story to someone at Delphi that clearly didn't bother checking.

If they had checked it out I might still have been banned but so would he. He claimed that I was banned for making threats. No way for me to know. Delphi didn't warn me or even email a notice. Not one single word to me. Just suddenly I couldn't log on as Ethlred. No middle e then. Someone allready had the full name.

Yeah I did threaten. I threatened to keep reposting the stuff he was deleting. He was deleting MY stuff as well as his. So sue me.

Banning on Delphi is a joke. They can't stop you from returning. Not even the worst trolls I saw were stopped. In fact the discussion that led to my banning was about a truly viscious troll the other guy was defending.

Yeah I was annoyed. Is it that obvious?

got banned by Markos back in the Civ 3 Off-Topic days for posting with a Dan Rather(ten spaces) (this was back in the days when you could end names with spaces) in a thread announcing the banning of Dan Rather
also was part of the Black Saturday (or was it Sunday?) massacre...

I once needed to have a mandatory restrictment when I was doing some important exams, so, rather than simply ask, I made a few meaningless threads, such as "What is your favourite cheese?", "What is your favourite Cake?", "What is your favourite chocolate?". Ming said he'd ban me if I made another such thread, and then when I did, he didn't carry out his side of the bargain. A thread calleing him a liar did the trick though

I sort of banned myself once...

Somewhere in late 1998 or early 1999 I had two homepages and I just had to have them both listed and linked in my profile.
I tried several times and then screwed up the HTML big time. After that I couldn't login anymore, so I got MarkG to "unban" my account (which he couldn't remember banning). I lost the 30-something posts I had made in the weeks/months before (I posted even less than I do now). I don't know how long it lasted, as long as it took MarkG to solve it, a day or two at most.

Tanks man. Welcome back to you too. Well me it was my first time getting banned or restricted but I had been warn in the past, so I guess I had it comin.
BTW, what the hell is Area 25 and Black Saturday Massacre?? I seen those mentionned on this thread about 5 or 6 times. What is it??
