I remember being in Area 25. There was spam, word association threads, spam, flaming, spam, porn, spam... Those were the days. Then Horsie ratted on us and we all got banned...

Never been banned by a moderator here. I did accidentally ban myself once, sort of... That experience taught me to never play around with the e-mail field under one's "edit profile" unless one knows what the hell they're doing

I wasn't in Area 25 btw. That was during one of my self imposed bans of OT (like just about every veteran here, I too left for some months. twice). I heard all the **** from Spink though, over ICQ.

Black Sathurday did get me banned, and unfairly at that! I wasn't spamming, but made a real contribution!. Honestly! Of course, the mods and admins didn't believe me.

I started Area25 together with Ecthelion, so that got me a 50% reduction and a month-long ban... And I got three days for Bananagate mentioned above (Useless Thread polls, etc.).

(Area25: Under the old forum system deleted forums weren't actually deleted just hidden from view. I "found" one and told a bunch of people, and we all spammed it to death. Lots of fun. Black saturday: Ming posted a thread in which was an instruction not to post in it on pain of banning. 25+ people did, and were duly banned.)

But what I find weird is that 7% got bananed.......hmmmmm.
