Pretty sucky unit in WarCraft III, until you stick an archer on them. The Hippogryph Archer is nice as a good way to make your archers flying and give them zillions of HP. Annoying as hell to counter, really, unless you're playing humans... then your Sorceress uses Polymorph, and the resulting sheep does not so much fall as plummet.

I'm a.... Gorgon?!? Whatever. Remind me to get another haircut.
