It was the first day of 9th grade, i walk into my homeroom class for the first time and, Hey, there's a new girl in class! And she's sitting by an empty seat! Well, I'll just have to take that seat then, hmm? (for as shy as I was at the time, this was a pretty bold move for me.) So we started talking, and we became very good friends right away, and before long, I was smitten with her. Its the first time i ever was really very strongly attracted to a girl. She was incredible. Alas, she loved me as well, but as a "best friend" only. And we WERE best friends, too. We hung out constantly, all the time. And then, after 9th grade, I moved away, and so my chance was lost forever. But she'll always have a special place in my heart.

My first true love ended very differently from my first relationship: in my first love, I had no relationship, and in my first relationship, I had no love.

The girl I loved never really reciprocated. I've gotten over it, although it hasn't been easy.

My first relationship ended pretty badly, although a year later we reconciled and now I'm ok with being around her.

I don't even know why AH trolls like he does anymore. It's not like anyone listens to him.

I think what he means to say is you're young and this blubber teary eyed post-teen crap most of the people here are spewing will mean precious little to them in less than a years time. They'll be saying to themselves, "That was the stupidest thing I ever said". Unless of course the become engrossed in their own self-pity to the point that it drives any likely relationship into the ground before it even gets off the ground.

Hang out with some friends, have a good cry, write a sappy poem, punch someone in the nose. Do whatever it takes to purge your current hangup and then, ulitmately, get on with your sorry life. I know it seems like this is the most important thing in the world, but frankly it's not.

Somebody gets their first piece of action and they turn into self-sacraficing pawns. Don't let it happen to you.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have met her and to have known her for the time that I did. The time that I knew her enriched my life beyond all the wise sayings that can fill a lifetime.

Heh. My first love, we went out for about a year and a half. We even kept going through my first year of uni, almost. But then, I felt I'd stopped loving her, and more lusted after her. So I broke up with her last Easter. 'Twas hard, sure, on both of us, but I think the fact I went back to uni shortly after helped. We're now really close friends.

Thing is, she's now got a new boyfriend, and she tells me more, sometimes, than I really needed to know. And I'm exceptionally jealous - both of him for having her, but also of her for having found another guy before I found another girl. Well, not quite true, before I went out with another girl. I've found one, but at last check we're talking unreciprocation. Ah well.

Sometimes I look back, and wonder about my bad luck when I broke up with my partner, then he kills himself as a result of his manic-depression four days later while I was still in Ecuador.

THE worst way for my very first true relationship to end -- or for anyone, for that matter. I hope this never happens to any of you guys in your lives.

Sometimes I think you are right though. I think I would have extreme difficulty nowadays in developing that kind of romantic attachment. Over the years I get too self sufficient. First love, 15 and stupid. It didn't last because he was 4,5 years older than me and my parents didn't approve it.

My first love ended after six months because he want's to be free.... (has 2 kids and two wifes in the past) Six months of happiness, another six months of misery. Men...
