went back to check the map and the names History give to the Corp sector systems... two Meraks? isn't one called Merek and controlled by the Gaians? what about the Agyptii system...a binary? if so, considered one system like Alpha Centauri and also third closest, which TAF as an attack force currently there.... unless the systems are different and located at differently on the z-axis.

LMP-- Umm, yes, actually. The Novans are going to be in a very tricky position in this system. Not only is a whole transport full of fighters in the area, but there is also the approaching Soldiers of God mercenaries. If the Novans try anything they'll be in pretty bad shape.
What bits should I edit?
Umm...you are right! There are too Meraks! Weird, ain't it? I'll change the name. The Aegyptii are two seperated systems that follow different orbits.
Centauri 18
The story of Beyond Alpha Centauri started in late 2700, and it is now early 2701 in the story. Many Chiron factions such as the Gaians, the Spartans, the Morganites, the Drones, the University, and the Hive have left Chiron, building up empires in space. The Earthers (Terrans) have built up an empire of their own. There has been peace since the end of the wars with the aliens known as the Bree, but that peace has been violently shattered by the space battle above Morganite Planet Aristophanes (Pollux C). No one is quite sure as to who fired the first shot in the action, the Morganite supply ship, or the supply ship of the rival company, Terra's Interplanetary Enterprises. Both ships are destroyed. In the aftermath, Morgan sends emissaries to speak to InEn officials on the Earth's moon, but that too becomes disastrous, the InEn troops attack the dignitaries, who barely make it back to Morgan space. Morgan decides to attack the InEn holdings at Callisto, and takes that moon, but his men are forced to withdraw due to the counterattack by the Earth Coalition. In the meantime, the Earth colony on Titan (a moon of Saturn) secedes from the Coalition with Rhea, forming the Saturn Kingdom. The Earther's attempts to bring the Kingdom back into the Coalition are bungled, to say the least. There is now peace between the two governments. Morgan recognizes the Saturnians diplomatically, and on the eve of war a treaty is signed. It has to be scrapped when the war with Terra breaks out. Morgan attacks distant Capella, a Terran colony, taking the whole system with the help of the Believer mercenaries. In response, Terra attacks Morganite holdings in the Corporate Sector...Phew!
Franky-- Tis a reeeeeeal shame, ain't it?

Yes, Approaching, but they won't get there by the time the battles finish.... SoD is all the way at Capella and Pollux/Castor... so like 20 lightyears or so from the Corperate sector, meaning, two days or so FTL travel. The TA attacks suppose to be a blitzkrieg The battle is still currently during a period of a day....where things are happening quickly diplomaticly and so on.
Anyway, the Morganites won't exactly know of Kerensky's offer to the pirates.... except that TAF ships is contacting the pirate ships in the three systems that is being attacked. Can't always intercept comm signals you know
Other then that, i do expect the Novans to lose SOME ships once they start desserting their positions/ take control of the stations and so on they are to defend in the three systems being attacked. They may lose some more ships once they start getting hunted down by Morganite and so on ships, but the Pirates is pretty good at hiding, and helps if they are nomads Heck, the Novans may take that to their advantage and lead the ships that are hunting them somewhere and ambush them. Novans will end up seeking Kane's help, and start being active within Kane's bloc clans and data angels. As for covertly hunting them down, it will be hard in this area as well... as they will be facing Data Angels, which their whole faction is into espionage and one big Intelligence network.

For example, TA forces won't be bombarding Samnos as was previously said in my post, which i edited it.... especially if the Morganites there are surrendering.

Okay, there is Aegyptii A and B....

early 2701? I say mid-late 2701 by now....
quote: The Earthers (Terrans) have built up an empire of their own. |
different factions within Sol as emerged, and formed the Terran Alliance, which as been around for nearly two centuries. TA as its own seperate joint military organization, the TAF currently lead by Fleet Admiral Kerensky. TAF acts like a seperate faction within TA.
InEn was more like a Corporate Nation like the morganites, and was a member within the Terran Alliance... they are NOW being merged into the Terran Alliance itself. TAF is currently got some InEn ships to help out with the attacks, heavily supervised by the TAF of course....none in Cyclanid thought.

Without considering the diplomatic option . The counterattack was lead by the TAF forces, but the EC forces as helped as well.
just a note: players here as the bad evil habit of ignorig the TAF and TA in general, making it seem it is the Earth Coalition that runs the whole show, which they are not.

Lonestar-Like your post! Especially where you included Commander Wilcox in it...even though it was just a "bit-part" and he gets fragged.
Your communique w/Morgan is also on the button. I don't know when Bippol's ships will get to the system, but it should prove interesting when they do.
PM me with your ideas on how to proceed next....since Bippol and Hive command will find out it was a Protectorate attack when the Expeditionary Fleet arrives. |
Boy, that "How is your wife fareing" comment is a bit below the belt, even for Yang, isn't it?
Well, the Protectorate squadron will be long gone when Bippol's ships arrive. Of course, even without evidence, Yang would have to be blind and deaf to not know the Protectorate is behind the attack.
I'll let you decide how to handle Yang's response. As you said, you don't want an all out war right now with us, and certainly we don't. (although Ian is confident the Protectorate would come out better. )I'll let you post the response. Bear in mind, however, that there are over 100 Capital ships in the Roving system, so and attack there (or anywhere in the Protectorate) would be difficult, at best.

Now wait, if Capella fell in January 2701, then only about three months will have passed by at most!
As for the Pirates, they'll be in bad shape if they try anything. The orbital platforms in the area are trained on any thing coming at them, and they don't trust the Novans. Morgan got them because they were cheap and they could move easily to the Corporate Sector, whereas the Soldiers of God wouldn't get there in time. Also, Morgan's fleets around those stations are actually getting bigger, and so Nova will have a lot to contend with if he wants those stations.
Cyber-- Uh...it's...uh...I'll work on it!
That's OK, Silence. Flu is a nasty thing! You guys will be in the Aegyptii region soon. As soon as Aegyptii A falls, the Terrans will stop their advance and listen to us. The only thing to do will to mop up the Novans, pretending that we don't know they've gone with Terra...
Franky-- The Ascetic Virtues? Aaaag! Nwab will never give in to power-hungry bean-heads like Yang!
Hey, Morgan will be sending you a message soon, Franky...
By the way, when will you start blowing up Protectorate ships? I mean, up to know they've been winning everything. Pretty soon, I'd like to see them lose something for a change...

I think it's time for the Hive to show how powerful it is, don't you? Now that the Protectorate has gone and done it, it doesn't look like Yang is going to sit around and take the diplomatic method, either...
Sprayber-- Thanks anyway. In my next post...and it'll come soon to a thread near you...will be so boring you will fall over dead after reading it! Well...
The plan has four transmissions in it! One to good ol' Queen M. of You Know Where. Morgan is just going to express his gratitude. Second goes to good old Colonel K. of S.F., telling him that we appreciated the gesture, and we will inform him of our new pals the evil fascist Protectorate! (expectorates on the ground) Then, we'll talk to Lord Ian himself! (another wad of spittle) Yes, well just say how happy we are that we are getting on so well...Finally, the big one...Morgan will contact Chairman...cough...Emperor Yang of the Hive!! (Ack! Phoooey!)
And, to lighten it up, I'll have a little bit concerning the aftermath of the fall of Samnos as seen through the eyes of a certain space pilot and his alien lieutenant.

First of all, even if there is no trust, they are not exactly expecting the Pirates to start attacking them and try to control the stations. Second, Novans are not dumb and pirates are known to use unconventional tactics and means...like how they took over that small Drone convoy . Third, the pirates in the systems being attacked will have TA support...and the pirates in the other systems not being attacked will simply FTL out of there, alteast a short jump to get out of weapons range..... Of course the Pirates will have some losses, but they do have some advantages... like surprise and already in weapons range....
Hey, there must be a reason why the Pirates seem to survive this long, despite several attempts in the past by different factions to completly eliminate them They space Survivalists.

They won't be easy to mop up...sure they will be outnumbered, out size, and outgun the Novans....but they generally focus in other ways.... I suggest you let me do a post for Novans actions before reacting to it....
