public works! Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

I am surprised that no has mentioned or at least I haven't seen any mention of the fact that public works will not be implimented in Civ3. One of the very very few things the CTP people did right was the development of the public works system. I thought it was a great idea. I always hated having to build a bunch of settlers/engineers and then give each of them orders. I must say that I am disappointed that the public works system will not be included. I don't know if it was a legal thing with Activision or they just thought that the idea didn't work with Civ3 but it will be the only thing I will miss from that decaying corpse we call CTP and CTP2. I trust that Sid and the team won't let us down and hopefully the worker units are easier to use than settlers/engineers or have a smart enough AI to modify the land intelligently when automated.
