Why can't I change the title of a thread once it has already been posted?

Just asking!

Also, does anybody play the EA game 'The Sims'? It has an official website: http://www.thesims.com

On this website there is a playable Sim (simulated person) that is Sid Meier. Has anybody played with him?

Or you can PM a mod and ask them to change it for you if it is after 5 minutes. I've done that hundreds of times for people!

Yeah, I've played the Sims a fair bit. Not now though. Its one of those games you keep getting sick of, but come back to 6 months later and play all over again.

Then again, I normally play with an 8 people household and challenge myself to actually build a good house for them ( $20k doesn't go far). I normally build the outside walls and the room structures, put enough beds in for everyone, a fridge, micorwave, food processor, shower and toilet and am out of cash. Then I get 7 of them to get a job asap, while the 8th person studies cooking.

Soon they are bringing in enough money to start splurging on (the cheapest) couches, tables and chairs, phone and radio and a tv. After that I start putting up wallpaper in and around the house, then floor-tiles. Then more showers and toilets (imagine 8 people all trying to wait for the 1 toilet... *snigger* ). After that, I'll be upgrading things around the house, so rather than the cheapest couches, they will have the most comfortable ones. Entertainment from the tv gets replaced by entertainment from the $6500 computers (one each) and so-on.
Its really quite a challenge.

Can you really edit the thread title within 5 minutes? That seems kind of hokey to me.

I grew bored of the sims. Unless you can do real life stuff like have sex (well not my life unfortunately ) then I get bored.

Actually, with one of the expansions they can have sex. (I think it was the livin' large expansion)


And yes, you can edit the title with in 5 minutes - I've done it a few times.

What if I ask the mods to change the title of a thread posted by another person? Will they still do it I wonder?

Nahhh... but feel free to start a Venom sucks thread over at CG... Oh, never mind, somdbody else already has

But to answer your question... Sort of... If you contact a mod and complain that a title of a thread is offensive, and they happen to agree with you, they will change it. I've done that a few times, but it is a rare situation.

Ming - I think the title of this thread is offensive. Would you mind changing it some something that isn't so open to disagreement. Something like "Venom Sucks" perhaps?
