Interesting stuff... NBC might have gotten #1, but CBS cleaned up the top 10. And VERY interesting Letterman was 7, beating out Carson at 12 (and Leno didn't make the list )! And Simpsons was 8 .

Well, the Soprano's is good . And Comedies have been more imporant that Dramas in TV history.

They specified Carson because Leno sucks. And it's a judgment call. Letterman is utterly amazing, and they felt that he was/is better than Carson, especially with the new kinds of humor he brought.

I agree with Lucy, Honeymooners and All in the Family. Seinfeld, The Supranos and The Simpsons are simply too recent -- let them age a good ten to fifteen years after their final first-run episode, and if they still hold those spots, then I'll believe it.

I think M*A*S*H should be higher up on the list.

I agree with most of that list except 60 minutes. I just don't think news shows should be on this list.
