ranskaldan, I think this also was Wernazumas revenge, oops, rule. I just want to point out that I put my question by purpose in the way that your answer should be "yes"

The collection of answers makes it difficult to continue. What means technically, no? AFAIK, Pakistan and Bangladesh were parts of India which was part of the British Empire. Is this technically yes (because their territory was part) or technically no (because the countries didn't exist and therefore couldn't be part of something?)

Anyway, I cannot think of any other good example which might be in doubt, so

1) Any other country than Pakistan?
2a) if no: is it Pakistan?
2b) if yes: any other country than Bangladesh?
-- 3a) if no: Is it Bangladesh?
-- 3b) I first wait for a clarification of "technically".
