	Help with Preferences Suffering from ads?

Ok, can anyone tell me what the two options in the preferences window actually do?

"Show Population Number Dropshadow"
"Show Wonder Initiation Pop-up"

Well, about the dropshadow, I couldn't figure it out either. The wonder initiation pop-up appears, if another civ (that you have contact with) starts building a Great Wonder.

One of the first two patches (can't remember which) added a drop shadow to the population number next to the name of a city on the main screen. The purpose was to make the red numbers (signifying a declining population) appear more clearly against a red background.

So many people complained about the added shadow (saying it is ugly) that it was made optional in 2.21f.

Yes, the dropshadow is ugly and makes your population number with the city stats underneath the city unreadable.
Many people prefer to leave it off.
