I play Civ3 a lot more then I should. One of the things that really bothers me is the whole global warming and pollution. I understand the concept and why it is there. But my problem is this. The AI civs never clean up their pollution in a timely fashion. I take great pains to clean up pollution 2-3 turns after it shows up. The computer takes way longer. Meanwhile, global warming effects my land and completely screws up my cities. In a future mod/patch/expansion. Their should be a fine. For every turn that you have 1 tile of pollution you have to pay every other civ in the game 1 gold piece. Of course, that is nothing for one tile, but towards the end when pollution is a big deal, that could mean alot of money that the AI has to pay out. Of course, Firaxis could just release a patch and make the AI place a higher importance on cleaning up pollution. It would add a new dimension to nuking your neighbors. Nuke them a few times, and watch them go bankrupt.
