Nope in the wonderful US the drinking age is 21.

Which means I won't be able to drink on my 18th birthday (I'm spending my birthday in florida).

Actually you can have sex at 18 - age of consent - although of course homosexuality laws will differ from state to state, and I doubt that's legal in Florida but I dunno.

Besides, everyone drinks underage - just don't get caught

Odd, considering how strict your laws seem to be - when I was in the States I was informed by the staff at the hotel where me and my dad were staying that I wasn't even allowed to sit behind the bar, as I was under 21.

This was in DC, so I should imagine that had something to do with it. But when me and my dad tried to sit behind the bar (I was aware of the fact you had to be 21 to drink alcohol, and I'm only 18), we were told by the barman that you needed to be 21 to sit behind the bar and we had to go and sit somewhere that wasn't behind it.
