	The Settlers V... Tired of ads?

The Settlers V is on the way, though there hasn't been much info about, other that this interview:

...or has there been some news I didn't notice?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the game, just hope they don't make a The Settlers 3D

settlers 4 has been released, the expansion pack too
i hate all settlers past number 2, they had it perfect, no obese cute people, build your own roads, no non strategic rts combat: perfection

Settlers III is the one game my little sister can easily crush me in.

It's inexplicable, she doesn't even play it as much as she used to.

I agree. It didn't take long before I was bored with Settlers III. As for S2 Gold Edition... I go back to that much more. 2 was the peak of the series. III and IV are just a downhill plummet.

Settlers II can deffinately use some improvements, but I do agree that it was the high point of the series.


That interview is about Settlers V, the fourth was released some time ago.

Sorry, my mistake, it the title was supposed to be The Settlers V, not IV

We can all agree that The Settlers II was Better than The Settlers III, but the fouth version of The Settlers is a great improvement...

imho the settlers 4 was far too 'cute', there was loads of obese people!
i just didnt like the route the settlers went down, it lost the roads and the way of doing combat, to replace it with rts.
the only shortcoming of the settlers 2 is the ai: too easy without land advangtages in missions, but i am a slow leisurely player myself so i dont mind

Yeah, the combat in S2 was way better, because it was something special, the combat in S3 and S4 is kinda like AoE

S2 involved a lot more strategy. But S3 is still fun. I haven't tried S4 yet, but will eventually. I kinda got sick of paying full price for S2 and S3, then having to pay full price again for the expansions that included the whole game. So I'm gonna wait for S4 gold to come out before I buy it.
