That's why I always leave it down. Don't you know you should leave the lid down when you flush the toilet?

When the toilet is not in use, we should put both, the seat and the outer lid down, so the Apolyton Kitten does not accidentally fall into it.

I put the seat down, but I also put the lid down too; that way, my wife HAS to lift the main lid do her business.

And the lid is what catches all the 'splash'!

Leg hair is bad, using my razor without telling me is worse. I've lost blood on more than one occasion when a g/f shaved her legs with my razor and forgot to mention it. Instant dull blade.

I always put both the lid and the seat down. It's a habit that was drilled into me in childhood. The whole seat up/down dispute has never been a problem, but I did actually have one ex-g/f complain because I kept putting the lid down.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

My cat drank out of the toilet all the time. A lot of cats do. I remember one time late at night I woke up, having to pee. Stumbled to the bathroom. I made a rather sudden, noisy entrance. In the dark, I hear a hiss and a splash, followed by the sound of wet kitty paws racing along the tile floor. Turn on the light, look into the hall, and there is the cat, drenched, shaking herself out and looking at me quite nastily. Guess I surprised her, hehehehehe.

I know of someone who went to the dunny in the middle of the night and inadvertently piissed on the cat. The cat freaked and fell in the water, only to blaze out of there via his face!

Someone metioned they put their ass in the water when the seat was up; is the bowl shaped in funny ways (as in more shallow) where you live? Even if I leave the seat up and then forget it I only get the unwanted sensation of cold porcelain against my ass.

Its not fair for women to expect men to leave the seat down because they are making the men do all the seat-flipping while they do none. Women want the seat down for #1 and #2, while men only want it down for #2, so if men leave the seat up then both will have to flip the seat about 50% of the time. Sounds fair to me.

I agree with Caligastia
Plus reaching down to lift the seat to put it up takes more effort that just pushing it down.

at the same time, i'm not that big on it as long as he doesn't miss! there is nothing more annoying than a guy that can't aim.

Hint: Keep them away from alcohol. If you can't keep them away from alcohol, then when they get up at night still in a near stupor to pee, make them use the window. It's so big they can't miss and in that particular inebriated state of mind they'll probably enjoy it too.

Noooo, it IS equal now. Ya see, when the woman flips the seat down, she NEVER flips it back up. She leaves it down, so the next time she comes in it will be down again. That necessitates the man flipping it UP when he comes in to pee.

So if the man has to flip the seat UP to pee and then DOWN to satisfy the nagging woman, he will therefore be doing all the flipping. Whereas now, flipping is 50/50.

I'm all for Women's Lib...so they can put the damn seat down themselves.
