I am available tonite, say 7pm-ish est. Also, as far as high speed connections are concerned: whats the deal with that? Reason I am asking is that I can probably get another person to play, but he doesn't have DSL or a cable modem. Is there any valid reason to exclude him from a game because of this?

I am in the mountain time zone and don't get home till about 6pm local so that would be 8 EST at the earliest. . . but my preference is usually to try to get a weekend day where people can commit to a long session

Players have played with phone lines but it seems that it is often VERY slow. The first 10-20 turns are not so bad but then it can get frustrating and if the game goes long at all, a slower player can lead to very long delays.

i've got a cable modem and am available to play starting tonight and going into this weekend. SMAC/X. please let me know. i live in NYC, so consider my EST. i'm available starting around 7,8,or 9 tonight and going all weekend...we could actually finish a game!

Tonight is bad for me but I can play on Saturday or pretty much anytime next weekend. Keep me in the loop if those times are good . . .( I am trying to balance my gaming with a wife that works 12 hour shifts-- basically every second weekend I am totally available to play)

wow - I sound a lot like Flubber! My wife is a nurse who works 12 hour shifts every other weekend, only it sounds like the opposite weekends of what Flubber is stating!

Nah - I have a "static" DHCP address! I guess there aren't enough people interested in Cable Modems in my area that it ever gets parcelled elsewhere when I'm offline!

Anyhoo: I've sent my IP address to both Psy and Archaic. I haven't gotten ahold of Egnogg324 yet to give him my address.

Oh, so you *do* start the game in about an hour? *Phew* I'd been told that DLS over where you are would have meant it started an hour earlier than I thought.
