The only postive thing about the Eurovision song contest is it's taught me how to say United Kingdom and Netherlands in French. I picked up on that fairly quickly after 3-4 shows.

In most respects, Israel is a European country, despite its geographical position. Most of it's inhabitants are historically rooted in Europe and all that.

While I'd like to stress once again that I'm not watching, I'm rooting for Israel. They could do with a little cheering up these days.

Plus, everyone will be too scared to go if it's held in Tel Aviv next year, and one can always hope that'll be the end of of the Euro song contest. If it isn't, I'm suing at the Human Rights Court.
