	Apolyton Fantasy World Cup - Preview! Remove this text

Apolyton Fantasy World Cup promises to be every bit as enthralling as the Fantasy Premiership that preceded it, with many high calibre entrants vying for the top spot.

Should he find the relevent thread by tomorrow, runaway Apolyton Fantasy Premiership winner Sten Sture would undoubtedly be the strong favourite. But he hasn't. Yet. HA HA.

Jersey warrior Imran Siddiqui made a strong late run late last season to take fourth spot. However, suspicion still remains that Siddiqui knows sod-all about football, and just got lucky. Prone to an Ipswich-style slide - but definitely one to watch.

The form player, however, is Iain Lindley (*End Is Forever*). Despite a mediocre Premiership season Lindley took the European U21 Fantasy League by storm, winning the Counterglow league by a country mile and finishing 16th in the entire world. Is likely to be very, very good, or just downright crap.

Mr. Consistency Sean McGivern finished a distant second to Lindley in the U21 championship, but blew a huge lead in the ACOL/Counterglow Premiership season to lose by one point at the death. A solid perfomer - but prone to choking - the Bayer
Leverkusen of the Fantasy World Cup.

Both MikeH and Bugs ****ing Bunny made late charges up the table in the Premiership season, but saw apathy hinder their bids for U21 glory. Dark horses for World Cup glory.

Mid-table stability befell Dutch duo Zopperoni and Paul last season, and much improvement will be required in order for a chance at the high positions this time. Much in the same position is Swedish outsider Kropotkin, whilst fellow Swede Johan Palme (Snapcase) needs to eliminate his tendency to imitate miners to improve his performance.

As always, there is the unknown quantity in this competition. Will Anthony's Christmases come all at once? Does Fiera know his football as well as his 60s music? Do MarkL's picks match his trolls, and has he picked any American players?

Only time will tell.
