Esto me pasa por escribir en ingles... Tired of ads?

En una de mis pocas incursiones en terreno no amigo y debido a mi poca facilidad para exprearme en otro idioma parece que no he sido bien entendido.

En este hilo http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=51449&perpage=25&pagenumber=1 y en respuesta a fred que dice (entre otrs cosas) que no se paga nada al utilizar el programa Gamespy Arcade (programa que parece que contiene banners publicitarios) e indicado que esa clase de programas (gratuitos y con publicidad) suelen comprometer la seguridad y privacidad en internet (ese es el pago).

Quiero saber si se entiende mi punto de vista y sobre todo el significado de la respuesta de MarkG (que no acabo de comprender bien ).
