Right of Passage Agreement Increase the size of your Attachments

How do you negotiate for a Right of Passage Agreement? When I start diplomacy, there are new and active agreements that can be displayed but I can't figure out how to get anything other than a peace treaty.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Yes, I have an embassy, and I'm in Modern Times. I can start diplomacy using F4 or other means, shift D, and contact the other AI government. I can negotiate trade agreements, etc., but can't figure out how to get a Right of Passage. It doesn't appear in the drop down list, like a trade resource.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Yep, I've traded with the Romans and have a standard peace treaty with them but would like to get a Right of Passage Agreement, so I can sack the Egyptians. I need to go through a small section of Roman territory to do this - much easier than loading everyone on ships.

Try to get RoP Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Start sending your troops through Roman territory toward Egypt.

When Ceasar contacts you to get your troops off his soil, there is usually an option 'How about a Right of Passage Agreement'.

If they are friendly to you you shouldn't have any problems getting the RoP.

Another way to initiate RoP Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Another way to try to get an RoP is when in the Negotiation screen, look under the heading 'Diplomatic Agreements'. This should drop-down a list that contains RoP.
