And here lies the problem. If the advisors are 100% useless than why have them? Either make them give worthwile advice, warn you at crucial moments, or simply do not include them. It will simply be a wasted effort.

Look I still believe my comment has merit. If advisors are useless than why am I going to have their heads stare at me at the top of the screen every time I play?

If they are useless why is someone at Firaxis going to code them instead of another element of the game delaying release and/or hurting quality?


As for humor, I apologize that I can't add some serious concerns about advisors in a comedic thread. I find many things more funny than wishing that a Drew Barrymore be my advisor.

Of course there must be advisors, how else could we just do the oppisite to recommended?

What disturbed me most in CivII advisors were the few possibilities. So the same advice just kept on reappearing. (There must be more than one way to say the same thing )
