Thoughts on Global Ops, and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Inflate your Upload Space

I bought both of these games yesterday because I was bored and didn't feel like waiting forever to download a pirated version. Anyways, I'll give my thoughts on the two.

Global Ops: Multiplayer is fun, but takes some getting used to. It's worth buying. Graphics could be better, but then again, I'd rather have a fun game than a pretty one.

MOHAA: Single Player is well written and very engrossing. Multiplayer is difficult to find a server, but once you get one, this game truly shines. It is the most fun I've had in a multiplayer game in a long time. Definitely worth buying .

What do you guys think about these games?

Sava:

I don't own Global Ops but I do have MOHAA and I totally agree with your assesment of the game.

All the weapons are true to history, game has good graphics, and the single player game is a lot of fun with a good story line. The missions are definately interesting and challenging even at the lower difficulty levels.

I haven't tried playing online yet with this one as I only have dialup. My fear is that this game will run too slow in MP because I don't have cable.

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

MP is kind of jerky on some servers and I've got DSL. That's one thing that these games both need is a decent netcode. Counter-Strike and Half-Life have the advantage of being updated constantly for 2 years to fix bugs.

Yeah I've noticed that Half Life works well in MP online and that's with my dialup connection.

I haven't been playing Mohaa lately. I'm at the mission where you and your squad are in the train (sorry I don't remember the name but it's one of the last missions) waiting for the doors to open. Once they open you are greeted by a hail of machinegun and sniper fire. Have you cracked that mission yet?

No Omaha? Why not? That would seem like it would be the beach to put in the game if you were only to put one beach in.

I was talking about the server...

Omaha beach is in the game, (single and multiplayer), but it's not a good map for multiplayer.

Got spare money?

There's always somewhere between 4000-8000 players online.

10 minutes ago there were 6800 players and 1005 servers...
