	Trouble with new resources. Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I am having trouble with new resources I added to the game. I have been able to implent and use the resources, but when ever the diplomatic screens open the game crashes. I did not add civilopedia text and icons for the resources. Could this be the source of my crashes? And if it isn't how do prevent the game from crashing?

Strategic or Luxury? I've heard that there could be a problem adding more than 8 Luxuries.

I added six resources.

Cotton
Oxen
Tobacco
Hemp
Wool
and
Timber.

Only Timber is an SR. Cotton, Tobacco, and Hemp are LR's. And Wool and Oxen are BR's.

I'll double check these to make sure I don't have more that 8 LR's.

Another tthing as well, that I encountered. It looks like it's possible to create a conflict when placing resources. My guess is that the game tries to place two resources on the same square, and ends up crashing. When I changed the terrain of one of them, the game no longer bombed. I don't see really how that would affect the diplomatic screen though, since it only happened right at the first of the game, but it might be something you can try.

Another possibilty is that the game is getting confused by the icons it needs for those LR's you've added. It's done some strange things to me in the city display when I've changed the luxuries around, even crashed the game at one point. It seems to be a bit of a crap shoot when messing with those types of resources.

You first step should be to remove what you've added one by one and find out which it is that's causing the problem.

Luxury resources are probably a cause, may be not the only cause since I have heard of SR also sometimes causing problems. It seems you can't have more than 8 total LR, this is no doubt due to the Marketplace bonus effect for LR.
The diplomacy screen problem may be related since you can offer to trade resources there.
Until someone comes up with a way to allow more than 8 LR, you will have to either not add more or make any over 8 into non LR.

That was the problem. I changed that resource from Luxury to bonus and the game no longer crashes.
